Mission for the Naval Academy
"To develop Midshipmen morally, mentally and physically and to imbue them with the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty in order to graduate leaders who are dedicated to a career of naval service and have potential for future development in mind and character to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship and government."
The US Naval Academy is located only 30 miles from Washington D.C. in historic Annapolis, Maryland. It provides a prestigious four year education to elite students committed to their future.
Every student is carefully selected based not only on academics but their physical fitness, character, leadership, athletic abilities, and community experiences. Those awarded admission receive an exceptional education with tuition, room and board, and all other expenses FULLY paid. This means you can receive a college degree for absolutely FREE!!
What's the catch?
As we all know, nothing in this world comes free. A Naval Academy education is among the best you can receive. With full expenses paid, the US military requires a five year active duty and three year reserve commitment to the United States Navy or Marine Corps upon graduation. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science and enter the military as ensigns in the Navy or as a second lieutenant officer in the Marine Corps. Entering the Army as an officer means better pay and benefits.
