A Senior Military College combines a desire for higher education and the military. Every cadet who attends a military college and is a member of the Corps of Cadets must participate in ROTC. Only cadets who receive a ROTC scholarship are required to serve their country upon graduation. Financial aid and other scholarships are available to students who wish to attend the school, but do not want to serve in the military after graduation. This means that Military Colleges are not free like Service Academies.
The admission process, admission requirements, and tuition/financial assistance varies for each college. These schools are extremely competitive. Make sure you research the requirements so you know how to plan for you high school career.
